Bill Rodgers
Bill Rodgers

Bill Rodgers is the most celebrated men's distance runner in history. A four-time winner of both the Boston and New York City Marathons, Rodgers has set and broken his own records. Track and Field News ranked Rodgers #1 in the world in the marathon in 1975, 1977 and 1979. He was a member of the 1976 U.S. Olympic marathon team. He is a two-time RRCA Masters Runner of the Year and has won numerous awards including the National AAU -DI Benedato Award for Best Athletic Performance (1975), Tiffany's Man of the Year (1989), the New York Road Runner's Club Abebe Biklla Award (1989) and the CT. Sports Writer's Alliance Gold Key Award (1994). Rodgers holds five current American records and one current world record.

Rodgers received his BA in sociology from Wesleyan College and his MS is special education from Boston College. Rodgers is currently a spokesperson for the Etonic Shoe Company, Running Times and the Bill Rodgers Running Center. He runs 25 races and appears at 25 speaking engagements a year.

Roger Fielding, Ph.D.

Roger Fielding is an Associate Professor of Health Sciences and serves as director of the Human Physiology Laboratory at Boston University. His research focuses on impact of exercise on human aging. He also holds an adjunct appointment at the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Centre on Aging at Tufts University.

Wayne Westcott is fitness research director at the South Shore YMCA in Quincy, MA. He is strength training consultant for numerous national organizations, such as the American Council on Exercise, the American Senior Fitness Association, and the National Youth Sports Safety Foundation, and editorial advisor for many publications. He is also author of several fitness books including the new release, Building Strength and Stamina, Strength Training Past 50, etc.

David R. Hannaford, DPM
David R. Hannaford, DPM

Dr. David Hannaford is a board certified Sports Podiatrist with a focus on running injuries. His practice is limited to sports injury patients. He has been practicing for 19 years. He treats Olympic and professional athletes as well as amateur. He is the team Podiatrist for many teams and track clubs including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training, Joints in Motion of the Arthritus Foundation, the Galloway Marathon Training Group and most recently the Aids Foundation Marathon Training Program.

Personally he has been an avid runner for 29 years. His running credits include a 2:39 marathon, a 33:50 10K, 2 silver buckles at the Western States 100 mile ultramarathon, and was the Pacific association USA Track and Field Ultramarathon masters champion in 1995.

Akiko Aoyagi Shurtleff
Akiko Aoyagi Shurtleff

Akiko Aoyagi Shurtleff is an author/illustrator of several pioneering soyfood cookbooks including the best-selling The Book of Tofu, which has sold over 500,000 copies. She also co-authored and illustrated The Book of Miso, The Book of Tempeh, and other non-cookbooks. She was one of the co-founders and co-directors of Soyfoods Center, Lafayette, California, and has lectured and given numerous cooking classes on soyfoods over the years. Currently, Akiko has her own illustration and graphic design business in Walnut Creek, California. Besides her award-winning illustrations and providing world class expertise on soyfoods, Akiko proudly claims fame as Kazuko's older sister.
